World of Warcraft Review
World of Warcraft (also known as WoW) is an online game that has surpassed the popularity of the real time strategy Warcraft PC games that hit the public in 1994.
When playing World of Warcraft, you can join up with guilds that permit raids against enemies. It is the goal of players to enhance their skills, as well as get a hold of gold and other items.
At the beginning of a game, new players need to select a race that will dictate the path of their character. Eight races are for the choosing: Humans, Night Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes and Draenei under the Alliance faction and the Horde faction consisting of Orcs, Tauren, Undead, Trolls and Blood Elves.
Choosing one character class from a group of nine is next. Do you want to be a Paladin, Warrior, Warlock, Shaman, Druid, Hunter, Mage, Rogue, or Priest?
The further you rise in the World of Warcraft, the more professions you gain. Crafting and gathering are professions, which are essentially skills that do not involve fighting.
Gathering professions include Herbalism, Mining, and Skinning, while those seeking crafting professions will dabble in Tailoring, Alchemy, Engineering, Blacksmithing, Leatherworking, Enchanting and Jewelcrafting. Secondary professions to consider include cooking, first aid, fishing, lock picking, and even poison.
Additions to WoW include the first official expansion called the Burning Crusade. The Wrath of the Lich King is an anticipated expansion. To play this game, one month of fun costs about $15.
When looking for a MMORPG to enjoy and are having trouble coming to a conclusion, I suggest you check out World of Warcraft. The community of players is booming and the developer support can’t be beat. Over time, it will only grow stronger to eventually become one of the most popular MMORPG’s in history.
