Star Wars Galaxies Review

If you love the Star Wars movie series, then the online game titled Star Wars Galaxies will really make your day. Since there are so many fans of the Star Wars movies, it isn’t a surprise that the game would too gain a solid following.

With LucasArts (co-developers with Sony Entertainment) behind the magic, there is no denying the level of fun and imagination encountered.

With Star Wars Galaxies, a lot of praise was gained because the graphics pushed the envelope of design. It also moved people with older computers or video cards to upgrade in order to take advantage of the full effect of the realistic settings and innovative detail.

Expansions
A few expansions have been created for Star Wars Galaxies with the first being the Jump to Lightspeed, which thrived on space combat within the game.

Next came the Rage of the Wookies with another installment called Trials of Obi-Wan following in 2005. This was the first time Mustafar the ground planet would make an appearance in the Star Wars Galaxies game.

Species
All players must side with a species out of a pool of ten. You can become a Human, Wookie, Trandoshan, Rodian Twi’lek, Zabrak, Mon Calamari, Bothan, Sullustan, or Ithorian.

Professions
Professions are also a part of the game, where you may become a Commando, Spy, Officer, Medic, Jedi, Bounty Hunter, Smuggler, Entertainer, or Trader.

Economy
A player run economy is associated with Star Wars Galaxies, as players produce create items that are traded or sold. Examples of these items may involve food, clothing, houses, armor, starships, blasters, and many other things.

It is believed that Star Wars Galaxies has less than 100,000 subscribers, yet dedicated players remain active – still attracting more people to the online game. It’s never too late to join the fun and you don’t even have to be a fan of the Star Wars movies.
